How Our Branding Agency Process Works: Every Step From $499 to Launch

Hiring a branding agency usually means buying a mystery. You pay a deposit, sit through a month of discovery calls, repeat your story to three different people, and wait. Months later a brand manual arrives, beautiful and heavy, and you still have no idea what to post on Monday. Most founders never see the branding agency process from the inside, and most agencies prefer it that way, because vagueness is easier to sell than a plan.
So here is ours, in full, with the prices attached. You start with the Guided Brand Strategy, $499, and flush your idea into a real foundation on your own time. Month one of DESIGNFLOW is the Activation Month, where that foundation becomes your Brand Activation Map: how your brand sells and every place it has to show up, decided before we design a single thing. Month two is identity, from logo suite through brand manual, plus the art and imagery you need to actually use it. Month three is collateral, if your brand calls for it. The website comes last, two months minimum. A from-scratch brand lands somewhere around $16,500 and five to six months all in, under $20k even with a full collateral month. That is the whole system. The rest of this post walks you through why each step exists.
Branding agency process: Step one: the Guided Brand Strategy, $499
Every brand at TNA starts here, no exceptions, because most founders do not have a design problem. They have nothing to design from.

The Guided Brand Strategy is a private brand discovery workspace. More than 80 guided questions across your story, offer, audience, taste, positioning, and voice. You answer by speaking, typing, or uploading, whenever you want, and everything autosaves. No call required. No repeating yourself to a rotating cast of account managers. For $499 you replace what agencies usually stretch into a month of discovery calls and bill thousands for.

When you submit, we read every answer, humans, not software, and release your Strategic Foundation: positioning, audience, voice, and value proposition, articulated and buildable. You own it outright. Take it to any designer, feed it into any tool, or carry it into the next step with us.
Compare that to the standard route. You pay five figures for discovery, and what comes back, most of the time, is a brand manual: logo rules, color codes, type specimens. A useful document in 1996. In 2026 a brand lives in feeds, inboxes, search results, and AI answers, and a manual tells you nothing about how to show up in any of them. That gap is exactly what the next month exists to close.
Month one: the Activation Month
This is where TNA splits from almost every agency you have talked to. Month one of DESIGNFLOW is strategy only. Nothing gets designed yet, on purpose.

We spend the month digesting your entire Guided Brand Strategy and turning it into working machinery. Funnel architecture: where your leads come from, where they land, how they get captured, and what happens after. Channel strategy: which platforms, in what order, and how your audience differs on each. Content pillars pulled from your positioning, with real post concepts and examples written out so you can see exactly how your brand sounds. Touchpoint mapping and asset architecture: every place your brand shows up and every asset it will need there, down to the badges, icons, and templates. A capture and email system. A launch sequence with the three to five numbers actually worth watching.
All of it lands in one deliverable: your Brand Activation Map, presented as a deck, walked through together, yours to keep. And it changes everything that follows, because now the identity gets designed once, knowing every job it has to do. No redesigns in month four because nobody thought about packaging. No logo that falls apart the first time it hits a template.
Month two: identity, and the part most agencies skip
Now we design. Logo suite, typography, color, badges, icons, templates, all of it built from the Map and documented in a brand manual so the system holds up without us.

Then we go further, because a logo suite alone is not a brand. Other studios hand you vectors. We hand you art. Imagery, graphics, textures, and visuals, the material your brand needs to feel like something instead of a letterhead. It is rolled into the work, because we are artists who do branding, and a founder holding nothing but PNGs has been set up to look like everyone else in the category.
Month three: collateral, if the Map calls for it
With the identity in place, every piece has a known job, so this month moves fast. Packaging, merch and apparel, print, pitch decks, whatever your touchpoint map said your brand actually needs. Some brands skip this month entirely. The Map already told us whether you can.
The website comes last, and that is on purpose
A website built before the strategy, identity, and content exist is a guess with a domain name. Ours is built around the funnel from month one, wearing the identity from month two, filled with material that already exists.
Websites run on DESIGNFLOW Premium and take two months minimum for a five to seven page site, about $10k, covering design, all site assets, copywriting, and the build itself. If you want the site written and structured to get found, on Google and inside AI answers, plan a third month. That work is real work: the writing, the structure, the technical layer that makes a site visible instead of just pretty. Rushing it is how beautiful sites launch invisible.
Who this is for
Two founders, mainly. The founder building from scratch who wants the entire thing, plan through launch, for under $20k over five to six months instead of a six-figure agency engagement or a Fiverr logo taped over an empty foundation. And the established brand that wants a creative department on subscription, $3,000 to $5,000 a month depending on whether the work is branding or commercial assets, with roughly 48-hour turnaround and no contracts.
We take five brands a month, and the style is the tell: classic Americana meets avant-garde, art you cannot order anywhere else. If that sounds like your brand, the first step costs $499 and you can start it today. Articulate before you design. Everything else in this post is what happens next.
